Jefferson’s Reserve Pritchard Hill Cabernet Finish

Tasting Notes / Description
Jefferson’s Reserve Pritchard Hill is a Kentucky straight bourbon whiskey that undergoes a secondary maturation in French oak casks previously used for Pritchard Hill® Cabernet Sauvignon from Chappellet® Winery. This additional 12-month finishing process imparts deep fruit and oak influences, creating a bourbon with layered complexity. Bottled at 90.2° proof (45.1% ABV), it opens with aromas of blackberry, black cherry, licorice, and dark chocolate. The palate brings a rich blend of dark fruits, including dates and apricots, complemented by Cabernet wine notes and a touch of citrus. The finish is long and smoky, with pronounced oak tannins adding depth. This limited edition release showcases Jefferson’s dedication to innovative cask finishing, delivering a unique intersection of bourbon and fine wine influence.
